Wayne Ross

Wayne Ross is a Carroll County native. He is a Vietnam Veteran, having served in the Navy. Wayne began art in grade school and was called upon to prepare the holiday scenes on blackboards. He attended New River Community College, Virginian Western Community College and Radford University, but is mostly self-taught. Wayne is a life member of VFW and DAV, Chapter 23. He sings with a local Gospel Group and plays the harmonica, autoharp, guitar and mandolin. His work is displayed at Carroll County Tourism in Hillsville, Virginia.
