Sherry Spence

Sherry was born on Chanute AFB in Rantoul Illinois where her father served as a member of the United States Air Force. Throughout her father’s 20 years of service, they lived in Japan, Okinawa, and upstate New York. She states that she would not trade those life experiences for anything. However, her fondest memories were spent visiting family in Southwest Virginia where she helped her Grandma can and make jellies, picking blackberries, stringing green beans, etc. Since coming to Galax, Virginia, she has had an opportunity to meet some of the most wonderful and talented people where music truly is the heart and soul. Her CD contains original songs about life, love and hope – some bluegrass, some country and some inspirational. Through the making of this CD she has learned a very important truth – and that is – that life is a wonderful journey and not a destination. With many twists and turns and peaks and valleys. we learn many valuable lessons. So for this wonderful journey, she thanks God and gives Him all the praise and glory.
