Junior Appalachian Musicians (JAM) & Family Day at the Blue Ridge Music Center

JAM & Family Day at the Music Center We are once again partnering with Junior Appalachian Musicians to host the annual JAM & Family Day at the Music Center on Saturday, May 18. JAM & Family Day is an opportunity for kids to learn more about old time and bluegrass music by participating in workshops led by master teaching artists, check out the Blue Ridge Music Center’s offerings, meet JAM kids from other programs, and perform for family, friends and community members. This event is free to all JAM kids. Students need to register online by May 10 (or by calling the JAM office) to be eligible for the provided lunch and for first choice on workshop and activity preferences. Otherwise, on-site registration will be available from 10 to 11 a.m. There will be an arts and crafts project for younger siblings, as well as Junior Ranger activities and a guide hike.
