Demonstration Saturday – Galax

We would like to invite you to an amazing Saturday at the Matthews Living History Farm Museum. Once a month we invite our artisans, craftsmen and heritage farmers to the museum to help bring the museum to life. We have been working on this event for the past couple years and agree that it has helped bring the public closer to our amazing heritage here in the Appalachian Mountains. These events are free to the public, but we always take donations to keep this a free museum.

We hope this will grow and grow as the years pass into something people will look forward to coming too. The event starts at 10 am and goes until 3pm. We are asking our local artisans, craftsman, musicians and reenactors to come out on these Saturdays to help the Museum come to life. This is a free event but bring money! We are supporting these volunteers by allowing them to sell their art and crafts.

This is a one-day event and is free to the public.
